Saint Valentine’s day will be here before we know it, and to make the weekend extra special our team have put together a sumptuous five course dinner which we will be serving on the evenings of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th Friday.

White onion & thyme soup, Parmesan crusted roll


Roasted scallop, white chocolate and truffle risotto


Poached chicken terrine, grilled pears, blackberry puree and chicken liver parfait


Herefordshire braised beef cheek, Grilled savoy cabbage, Choucroute and Morteau sausage


Roasted Monkfish tail, celeriac mousse and Ribblesdale custard


Corn fed Chicken, truffle Macaroni, glazed shallots, poached egg, hazelnut sauce


Chocolate panna-cotta, vanilla ice cream and macerated strawberries


Lemon thyme crème brulee, poached rhubarb and honey shortbread

We will be serving this menu in two sittings on Saturday 13th; at 6.00pm and 8.30pm.

On Sunday 14th itself we will be serving this menu at 7.00pm. We are expecting these dates to book up fast so please call reservations on 01925 752068 to avoid disappointment (and grief!)

Speaking of love, we have been inundated with compliments and praise for our new look bar and restaurant and new menus by the many of you have already visited us this year. We are very proud of what we have done with the place so it is great to hear such amazing feedback.

For those who have not yet come down to see what the fuss is all about, we have introduced some big and exciting changes to our menu offerings.

The all new ‘Grill Board’ currently features Himalayan salt aged Herefordshire steaks, available in 5 different cuts, from the 8oz Fillet to the show stopping Wing Rib, a sirloin cooked on the rib bone for two people to share. We are very proud to be serving this incredible produce, all cooked on the charcoal grill, all day, 7 days a week.

In our restaurant you will find the winter a la carte menu. This menu features dishes such as;

  • Duck liver parfait, blackberry and pear
  • Corn fed chicken, truffle macaroni, hazelnut sauce
  • Lime cheesecake, spiced pineapple

This menu is available Monday to Saturday in the restaurant, and we are offering three courses for £27.50.

Finally, we have our new bar menu, offering many of our classic dishes as small plates, ideal for sharing. Here you will find ‘smoked haddock Scotch egg’, our ever popular ‘pork belly Lyonnaise’, and the famous ‘bone marrow burger’ with bacon and cheddar. This menu is available all day, Monday to Saturday (excluding Valentine’s weekend).
